“How It’s Made è un’installazione audio costituita da due cuffie; un’audio guida in due lingue, che racconta la ricetta del pane.
Da una parte si dissacra l’idea di opera d’arte, trasformandola nella spiegazione di se stessa, attraverso la canonica audio guida mussale; dall’altra, la seconda azione dissacrante, sminuisce in modo provocatorio uno dei cardini su cui si fonda la società materana, cioè la lavorazione del pane e quindi tutto ciò che ne consegue in termini di struttura sociale, di cultura e di matriarcato, raccontando in modo più o meno televisivo alla cotto e mangiato, come procedere per fare il pane: gli ingredienti, le quantità, le temperature e le tempistiche di cottura”.

“How It's Made is an audio installation made up of two headphones; an audio guide in two languages, which tells the recipe for the bread.
On the one hand, the idea of a work of art is desecrated, transforming it into an explanation of itself, through the canonical museum audio guide ; on the other hand, the second irreverent action detracts in a provocative way from one of the cornerstones on which Matera's society is based, namely the making of bread and therefore everything that follows in terms of social structure, culture and matriarchy, telling in more or less televised way cooked and eaten, how to proceed to make bread: the ingredients, the quantities, the temperatures and the cooking times".
